The South Australian Child Protection Awards, hosted by the Department for Child Protection (DCP) in partnership with the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN), recently honoured the remarkable achievements of individuals and organisations dedicated to creating safe and nurturing environments for children. This year’s event recognised the outstanding contributions of children currently in or who have left care, alongside the efforts of carers, volunteers, staff and organisations across the child protection sector.

In alignment with the 2024 National Child Protection Week theme, 'Every Conversation Matters', the awards highlighted the importance of open dialogue in fostering safe spaces for children and young people in care.

At SYC, we believe that everyone has a role to play in preventing child abuse and neglect. We are proud to be part of a community that works tirelessly to protect and empower young people. As one of the event's bronze sponsors, we congratulate all nominees and award winners who are raising the standards of care for young people in South Australia.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of those dedicated to supporting children and young people. It was an inspiring day that showcased our collective commitment to child safety. We look forward to continuing to support this essential work and celebrating future achievements!
