SYC collaborates with you to enhance workforce diversity by connecting you with qualified candidates and support services. Wage Subsidies

To be offered a Wage Subsidy, employers must first have an active Workforce Australia Online for Business account.

As a trusted provider of Workforce Australia Services (WFA), Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) and Transition To Work (TTW), incentives may be available to support your business with a new employee

Eligible employers may be able to access up to $10,000 to help offset the costs of recruiting, training and supporting a new employee in becoming a valued member of your workforce.*

SYC's knowledgeable Employment Coaches will work with you to identify suitable candidates, support your recruitment needs and guide you through available Wage Subsidy options.

Am I eligible?

To receive a Wage Subsidy, your business must:

  • Have an active ABN
  • Have a current Workforce Australia Online for Business account
  • Not have employed the participant within the previous two years
  • Not be an Australian state or territory government agency

Additional eligibility requirements may apply depending on the participant's circumstances.

What type of jobs can I offer?

Wage Subsidies may be available for:

  • Full-time, part-time or casual positions
  • Apprenticeships and traineeships
  • Ongoing employment opportunities

Positions must meet Australian employment standards, including minimum award rates.

The following positions are not eligible:

  • Commission-based roles
  • Subcontractor positions
  • Self-employment opportunities
  • Employment with an immediate family member
  • Positions that displace an existing employee

Who can I hire?

To receive a Wage Subsidy, the participant must be registered with SYC. Other eligibility criteria apply based on the participant’s circumstances. Contact us for more information.
