How can we help

You will have access to SYC's range of youth-specific programs and supports to help you achieve your goals, including:

  • Information about work or study options
  • Training and support to get you ready for work
  • Assistance in preparing for study
  • Guidance to craft a great resume and job application
  • Learning how to stand out in an interview
  • Workplace tours or work experience opportunities
  • Access to driver's license and learner support services
  • Professional mental health support
  • Networking with employers in your local area to find the right job for you.

Transition to Work is for young people who:

School leavers and young individuals can access our free Transition to Work program if they are between 15-24 years of age and are an Australian citizen or hold an appropriate visa.

There might be other eligibility requirements, but we can discuss these with you in detail. During your initial appointment, you'll meet your specialist Youth Employment Coach. We'll talk about what you enjoy, what you're good at, what you want to do, and any support you need to achieve your work or study goals.

Information for Employers

Why collaborate with us?

We will provide a personalised service for your business, offering a dedicated coach who will take the time to understand your business and recruitment needs. We send you young, motivated, suitably skilled candidates to meet your recruitment needs, ensuring their employment with your business is ongoing and successful. Our participants receive tailored training for readiness to work, including pre-screening, job-linked training, coaching, and internships for skill development within your business.

Ongoing support

To ensure your new employee is successful in their role, we offer a week-one progress meeting & 26 weeks of post-placement support (PPS) for every participant we place. Our PPS strategy focuses on regular communication with you and the young person to address any issues immediately, maximising productivity and retention.
