The South Australian Parliament passed the Residential Tenancies (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act 2023 on 29 November 2023. The act includes several new measures that need preparation before implementation. The initiatives will be phased in starting on 1 March 2024. Matters requiring more preparation will be introduced later in the year.

These changes include new rental increase parameters, creating penalties for existing offences, and tougher penalties for all offences. To learn more about the changes starting March 1, visit the Consumer and Business Services website.
