Expanding Access to Training Through SYC’s Virtual Training Hub

At SYC, we believe everyone should have access to education and training, no matter where they live. The launch of our Virtual Training Hub is helping make that possible for learners in regional and remote areas.

Based at our Kent Town Head Office, the Virtual Training Hub allows SYC to deliver Accredited Training to multiple locations across South Australia. The hub connects with SYC sites in the Murray Southeast, including Berri, Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier, and can also link with other training spaces that have video conferencing facilities.

Through the Virtual Training Hub, learners can take part in training remotely while still receiving direct support from SYC’s Education and Training Teams. Students can ask questions, engage in real time and access guidance without needing to travel long distances.

For many people living in regional and remote communities, travelling to the city for training is not always an option. The Virtual Training Hub helps remove this barrier by bringing learning closer to home and supporting people to build skills, confidence and pathways to employment.

Wayne, SYC’s Head of Education and Training, said the hub is about more than technology.

“The Virtual Training Hub is about ensuring every learner, no matter where they live, has access to quality training and the support they need to succeed.”

By using technology in practical ways, we’re proud to be creating more inclusive learning opportunities and supporting people across South Australia to reach their goals.
