Enabling people to acquire knowledge, skills and methods that can be retained and applied.

  • Career Transition Assistance

This year, we started delivering Career Transition Assistance (CTA), a program that supports people 45 years and older in their search for work. CTA helps participants to increase their job readiness, target their job search and communicate their transferable skills. The program includes digital literacy training as well as tailored career guidance.

This course has proved very helpful, enlightening, educational and encouraging.

  • Non-Accredited Training

We provide several short courses and a variety of learning support to help people take the next step towards their employment or education goals. Our trainers and facilitators are skilled in teaching soft skills that are valuable and applicable across many life settings.

  • Alternative Learning

We provide alternative education pathways for young people who need a different approach than mainstream schooling environments. We support young people with Flexible Learning Options case management to return to school or make other learning progress at their own pace. We also offer group learning programs in both Eastern and Western Adelaide:

BOLT is delivered in Eastern Adelaide in partnership with the University of South Australia. Qualified teachers deliver curriculum, underpinned by a positive psychology framework and supported by a youth worker.

    Studio West

Studio West provides an ACARA and SACE based group learning program, delivered by registered Seaton High School teachers. Case Managers provide support with learning engagement and wellbeing development. The program has a literacy and numeracy focus, as well as exploring additional learning pathways, suited to each student’s goals.

When I am at Studio West it makes me feel happy because I am doing the work. I used to walk out of class because I was too ashamed to say I didn’t understand it. At Studio West I am proud of asking for help and I am proud how far I have come.

  • Geared2Drive

    (program ended June 2019)

For seven years we have supported young people to achieve their driver’s licence. This program paired volunteer mentors with learner drivers to help them fulfill the hours needed to be eligible for their provisional licence.
