SYC is pleased to announce our organisation has been awarded an exciting government contract that will enable us to further expand our positive reach in Queensland. The Transition to Work (TtW) program allows SYC to apply its extensive experience in supporting young people to find meaningful careers – with a focus on connecting 15-24-year-olds with local job opportunities.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for SYC to increase its positive impact in Queensland,” wrote Stacey Dutschke, Chief Operating Officer for SYC’s Employment and Education services.

The Transition to Work Program is set to commence on 1 July 2022 as an initiative of the Australian Government and the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE). One of the key attributes of the TtW Program is to work closely with young people assisting them to achieve their career goals and play a meaningful role in the community.

“This focus on building relevant employability skills for young people is a key strength of SYC,” Stacey added. “With a history of delivering high performing successful TtW services for young people, we are excited to bring our expertise to Queensland.”

As part of SYC’s Queensland expansion, opportunities are now open for interested applicants who would like to help our organisation fulfil this positive impact through the TtW Program. For more information about joining our team, please visit our Positions Vacant page here.
