Our Two New Executive Appointments
25 Mar 2021
SYC has recently welcomed two new faces to our executive team. Neither are new to the organisation, however, recording over 21 years of service to SYC between them.
Following Mark Hoffman-Davis’ appointment as CEO, Stacey Dutschke has taken over the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Stacey will have executive oversight of SYC’s employment, education and learning programs. She brings a wealth of leadership experience and a proven record of strong contractual and financial performance.
Stacey joined the organisation in 2009 as a Site Manager when SYC expanded into the employment services market in Victoria. She moved to Adelaide in 2013 and became a high-performing Regional Manager in employment services, before moving back to Melbourne in 2018 as our Victorian State Operations Manager.
Now based in Melbourne, Stacey has a focus on the strategic growth of SYC. She is well placed to expand our national reach and support more Australians to increase their skills and move into employment.
Stacey is passionate about empowering others to perform to their highest potential and deliver a superior level of service. She is well known for her positive outlook and measures her success by the success and development of others.
“I want to support SYC to grow its operations and impact to support more clients on their journey into work,” Stacey said.
“I aim to ensure the most effective processes are in place to support our team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve inspirational client outcomes that set SYC apart in the market,” she said.
Also joining the executive team is Melissa Tong-Fulgueras, in the role of Chief People Officer.
Melissa will lead the People Operations team providing a strategic focus in the areas of Human Resources, Payroll, Employee Training, Volunteers and Placement Students.
Melissa’s journey with SYC started in 2011 when she joined as an Employment Broker at Job Prospects. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Management, Human Resource Management in 2012 she began working in the Human Resources team. As a talented and dedicated professional, Melissa held several Human Resource roles, before becoming General Manager of People Operations in 2019.
Now as Chief People Officer, Melissa is passionate about bringing out the best in people and providing opportunities to allow people to grow within their roles and teams. Melissa is dedicated to ensuring SYC remains an employer of choice because of the positive and supportive culture and our commitment to our Mission.
“I take great pride in what I do, I love my job and the people I work with. I’m excited about the future of SYC and enhancing employee engagement through staff training and development, reward and recognition, competitive staff benefits, workplace flexibility and innovative technology. I’m also excited about introducing new initiatives to increase employee connection and satisfaction.”
Mark welcomed the two new members of the executive. “We are very excited to have Melissa and Stacey join our executive leadership team. Both women are exceptionally talented and inspiring leaders and will have a real impact at SYC in their new roles.”
