New Youth Justice Program supports young people to make lasting, positive change

The Community Service Order program will work with young people to build skills and promote social responsibility.
We have recently launched a new youth justice program to help young people complete their community service order requirements.
Our youth justice team will work with young people to create a community service order plan tailored to their individual needs and goals. Activities a young person might complete while in the program could include education, volunteering in the community, training for employment or developing skills for living independently.
SYC has a long history of helping young people achieve more positive futures. Liz O’Connell, Chief Experience Officer says:
“We are proud to bring more than 30 years’ experience working in the South Australian youth justice system to this new opportunity, which will help young offenders change their life trajectory and reduce re-offending.
Under the CSO program, we will support each individual and their families to meet their community service requirements, while developing important skills for vocational preparation and employment.
It is through our social programs that South Australian young people who are part of the CSO program are given the best opportunity to make a positive change in their lives.”
