We are looking for superstar casual and part-time Therapeutic Youth Workers to join our HYPA Homes Specialised Residential Care Program in Nuriootpa.
Help out with homework, have fun in the kitchen, go to the beach and ultimately support young people to create positive experiences and skills for independence.
You will assist young people to effectively develop and foster appropriate life skills and social abilities to support their personal development and increase their connection with the community by helping young people to:
- Settle into a home-like environment
- Increase their independent living skills
- Increase their capacity and links to the local community
- Achieve their goals and aspirations
These positions are required to work across 24/7 rotating rostered shifts, including sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.
About You
The successful applicant/s will require the following Qualifications and Experience:
- Completed a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Certificate IV in Community Service Work, Certificate IV in Youth Work
- Completed or almost finished Master or Bachelor of Social Work, Masters or Bachelor of Psychology, Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Child, Youth, and Family Intervention, Diploma of Youth Work
- Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Certificate or equivalent is essential.
- Experience in working with young people with complex trauma is essential.
- Experience in developing case plans and case noting and report writing is desirable.
- Prepared to undergo Psychological Assessment
- A current Driver’s License and willingness to drive is essential.
