A fantastic opportunity to be part of SYC’s Audit Team. We are seeking for a full-time, Internal Auditor who will be based in our corporate office in Kent Town. 
This role will work collaboratively with Managers and their teams for the provision of audit, risk and compliance support, technical input and advice to improve the effectiveness of governance processes, control and compliance, and quality and risk management.

Duties of the successful applicant include: 

  • Provide accurate, professional, and timely Internal Audit services across SYC according to established systems and SYC’s policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Contribute to the achievement of SYC’s objectives, goals, and priorities, through the application of Internal Audit related activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of SYC’s audit plan by ensuring audits are conducted and reported according to the established schedule, ensuring prompt and accurate audit reporting, maintaining audit results in the audit register, and raising audit findings in the SYC organisational register.
  • Apply ‘risk-based thinking’ in audit activities and in identifying operational and strategic risks across SYC.
  • Assist in the provision of advice and support to management and employees on a range of Internal Audit matters, in accordance with established policies and procedures, legislative requirements and standards.
  • Liaise and assist as required with external auditors and/or accreditation organisation’s.

About You… 

  • Internal Auditor qualification in a relevant field or Diploma of Quality Auditing
  • Proven experience in Internal/External Auditing with willingness to complete an Internal Auditor qualification
  • Quality management systems or a related management system particularly the ISO 9001
  • Experience working directly with key internal and external stakeholders, including management at various levels
  • Experience in a contract compliance environment is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
  • Auditing management systems
  • Time management and organisation skills
