We are seeking a Full Time Compliance Business Partner – Education and Learning to join our Risk & Compliance Team,  based in Kent Town.

Duties of the successful applicant include:

The Education and Learning portfolio delivers a range of accredited, non-accredited and case management services. This position is responsible for working in partnership with the Education and Learning portfolio to promote a positive and proactive compliance culture and implement SYC’s risk and compliance framework.

As an Compliance Business Partner you will:

  • Ensure the development, implementation and adoption of the Risk and Compliance Framework incorporating the VET Quality Framework and requirements of federal and state funded contracts
  • Work collaboratively with the Education and Learning leadership team to monitor, escalate and drive a culture of compliance
  • Develop an Assurance Schedule to effectively monitor, assess and report against risk and compliance for the Education and Learning portfolio
  • Contribute to SYC’s reform of business processes across the organisation, specifically in the Education and Learning portfolio, to support continuous improvement, best practice and the development of SYC’s Integrated Management System
  • Monitor and prepare reports for various internal and external audiences
  • Manage 1 staff member across data, risk and compliance

About You

  • Proven experience in the Vocational Education and Training Sector is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in a Compliance role involving government contract compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in writing high quality procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in data and trend analysis
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of RTO services and practices
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and a communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Minimum of Cert IV in Training and Assessment or diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
