Exploring Adelaide in an Amazing Race
15 Nov 2019
Connection to community and problem-solving skills are important for any young person to develop. We held the amazing race as a fun and engaging way for students to discover Adelaide and increase their confidence.
The event was run by our Youth Leadership Team, along with a team of interns from the University of South Australia (UniSA). The six students were highly motivated to design and implement the best experience that they could.
The race was attended by 16 students from our BOLT and Studio West programs. They toured the city in groups, collecting clues, completing challenges and answering quiz questions about each location. The route took them to Parliament House, UniSA, Topham Mall, Rundle Mall, MOD, headspace, Streetlink, the Central Markets and more.
Several local businesses were kind enough to support by donating prizes or hosting a pit-stop.
