SYC first company certified to revised Quality Management Standard

SYC is proud to announce that we are the first company to achieve certification to the Quality Management standard ISO 9001:2015 under independent assessment by BSI Australia. The standard, which was published in September 2015, has been updated to ensure that it continues to help organisations like SYC manage quality, reduce risk and ensure organisational resilience.

Gordon Wilckens, Head of Quality, Compliance and Risk at SYC said that “we’ve been working with BSI to develop solutions that enable us to turn our standards of best practice into quality management systems that are suited to service providers like us and ISO 9001 has been very beneficial in improving our systems and processes company-wide.”

“With our certification to ISO 9001:2015 BSI has supported us throughout the transition, keeping us informed of changes and providing a wealth of information via various platforms in order to help our senior leadership team understand the benefits of this new standard.”

SYC has also achieved certification to the National Standards for Disability Services (NSDS) standard through BSI Australia, but we are always looking at ways to deliver improved efficiencies and streamline business operations. ISO 9001:2015 was particularly appealing because it has been created with service providers in mind, allowing SYC to demonstrate our commitment to upholding the highest standard of governance and transparency in a highly competitive market.
