Flexible Learning Options

Flexible Learning Options (FLO) is an Innovative Community Action Network (ICAN) pilot that provides an alternative enrolment option for students 12-19 who are at significant risk of disengaging from school. The student is referred by their school of enrolment to receive individualised support and assistance from an SYC case manager.

 

The case manager support includes:

 

¨ Assistance and support to remain engaged at school

¨ Identifying alternative learning programmes including community-based learning, TAFE, numeracy and literacy programmes.

¨ Assistance in preparing for apprecticeship or traineeship training.

 

All learning options are based on;

 

¨ SACSA curricula

¨ Recognised accreditation, either SACE or VET
